Marianne McCarthy is a multimedia artist exploring the subject of anomalous human experience. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally including the acclaimed Creative Spirits and Tranceducers exhibitions in London. Ms McCarthy enjoys a particularly strong relationship with Curious Matter in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she has been included in many of their signature group exhibitions, featured in a two-person exhibition entitled, Not For Life Alone, and published in eight of their catalogs. A native New Yorker with 35 years of visual art educational experience, she has also completed advanced training in other teaching modalities from Lincoln Center Education and Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS.) McCarthy is a graduate of The School of Visual Arts and a volunteer artist at Brooklyn’s LAND Gallery, a non-profit day habilitation studio for neurodivergent artists. McCarthy was selected for Curator’s Choice by ArtFluent in 2024 and in 2025, a solo show, Centering the Veil was featured at The Gallery at 310 Riverside in NYC. Ms McCarthy’s thoughts and creative work have been featured in other recent publications including Collect Art (Mystical World and 101 Contemporary Artists), Women United Art Magazine and Vellum. Her work can be found in international private collections and the permanent collection of The College of Psychic Studies in London. She maintains a home studio practice in Brooklyn, NY.
